Fees

Feel free to contact me to discuss the fees. Please be aware that the fees differ for in-person individual sessions, students/unemployed persons, and online sessions.

I do offer space for a fee sliding scale that is fair to all my clients depending on your circumstances. These rates can be determined in our first consultation.

 

Payment: Payment for the sessions are due at the end of the session, in cash, paypal or bank transfer.

While I do not accept insurance coverage, I can provide you with an invoice in which you may then submit to your insurance carrier or your job for reimbursement.

Are sessions confidential?

Absolutely! Everything we discuss in therapy is kept in the strictest confidence. We will discuss this during the intake session.

What if I am in a different location and require face-to-face therapy?

After the initial phone consultation, I will assess if it is possible to proceed via the phone or Skype. If I think you should have face-to-face therapy and I am not able to travel to you, I will happily suggest an alternative therapist.

Is therapy over the phone or Skype as effective?

Studies have shown that it is just as effective and convenient as face-to-face therapy. Sometimes you may feel more comfortable to speak openly over the phone, or perhaps due to your schedule, you are not able to attend my office, in which case this is the perfect alternative.

How do I know that you are the right therapist for me?

Choosing a therapist is a very personal decision. After reading through my website, get in touch and we will have a free initial consultation over the phone. During this session we will get to know each other a little and establish the best way forward. If I think that another therapist would be better suited to you, I will happily make recommendations. The session will also give you the opportunity to better assess attending therapy with me.

What if I don’t want a session every week?

Therapy is a journey that we embark on at a pace and schedule that works for you. We will discuss this after our intake session, after we have established your therapy goals and I have assessed your individual requirements. This will help us mutually decide the best way forward that is convenient and beneficial to you.
